An Eye Catching Studio

Jul 28, 2016 |  Building of the Month

Coming to us from Jackson, LA this studio gets high marks for its curb appeal and customizations. The 14×18 TR-800 with an 8/12 roof pitch and a metal roof certainly sticks out; even on the grounds of a media production company.

The customer came to the Jackson, LA Home Depot in search of materials for a couple other projects and mentioned the need for a new building for Village Studios, a media production company located in Louisiana. With the help of Tuff Shed Area Sales Manager April Austin, the customer found that the building he needed could be customized and completed sooner (and under budget) by hiring Tuff Shed to design and build the structure. The unique style of this build came from an existing building on the property, an old Cajun Acadian style structure currently used as a bar and restaurant. You may also notice that the building was installed with treated wood joists rather than our galvanized steel joists. The customer chose the wood joists in case the building needs to be moved later on.

The studio was built right at the edge of a small cliff for a good reason. An amphitheater will be built at the bottom of the cliff and the large custom window on the back wall will let special guests have a perfect view of the show.

The customer came into the project with some pretty specific ideas and worked with the Tuff Shed team to bring these ideas to life. We were more than happy to put together a design that met and even exceeded those ideas.
