It all started with a tool shed. The Cannon’s needed extra storage space at their new home so they came to Tuff Shed. Years passed and Marcella kept an eye on the shed, imagining it as a very different space. Eventually she made a trade, giving her husband the garage for storage so she could turn the tool shed into a She Shed.

The Cannon’s originally chose Tuff Shed for their storage shed after a visit to their local Home Depot. “The displays were really great and we were able to customize the paint and the roof to match our house,” says Marcella. The 8×12 TR-700 was a great storage solution for tools, until Marcella got a plan. She knew the storage shed would make an even better She Shed.

When the Cannon’s designed their TR-700, they already had a few She Shed style additions, including custom vintage windows. Over time, Marcella added a few more touches, imagining the shed as her dream garden space. Now the original Tuff Shed building is nearly unrecognizable after all the DIY upgrades.

To transform the tool shed, the Cannon’s added a pergola, interior finishing touches, and lots of landscaping. The end result is a true backyard paradise for Marcella.  “It’s just the sweetest space,” says Marcella. “I get so happy when I get to spend time in it, whether by myself, with my husband, or with my grandkids.” You can see more photos of Marcella’s she shed on her Instagram profile at @marcellacann.
