Martin Peters renovated his California backyard a few years ago but left one corner open. He planned on using it as an outdoor entertaining area, but couldn’t quite decide whether he wanted a shed or a pergola. Then, he learned about Pub Sheds. The trend started across the pond in England but has since gained popularity in American backyards. Martin knew that a Pub Shed was exactly what he was looking for.
“We just really fell in love with the idea of a pub shed,” says Martin, “We thought it would be nice to have it open right up onto our patio for a big outdoor room.” Their new Tuff Shed building turned out to be the perfect solution for their space. “Our building fit right into our budget and we were able to design it to do everything we needed.”
The double Hawthorne doors on the 10×12 TR-800 open directly out to the patio so guests are able to sit outdoors and still view the TV inside the shed. With the addition of a fire pit on the patio, it’s truly an ideal entertaining space.
Martin hired a contractor to finish out the interior with drywall and install an accent wall with reclaimed wood. They also hooked the pub shed up with electricity for the TV, lighting, mini-fridge, and surround sound.
The end result is a perfect place to kick back with friends and neighbors and enjoy the California weather.
