Tuff Shed is back in the bright lights! We took a trip with a couple of sheds to the FOX Plaza in New York City to see what DIY-er Skip Bedell could do to transform the spaces. The result is two awesome backyard upgrades filled with great DIY tricks.

The sheds are 8×12 TR-700s, each featuring its own unique options and upgrades. Skip’s challenge was to create dueling backyard spaces; one as a She Shed retreat and the other as a Man Cave workshop. Skip started the build-off with tours of both areas and the outline for his shed design plans.

The Man Cave features double doors, a heavy-duty ramp, and plenty of storage space for tools inside with a pegboard and a wraparound workbench. To bring in extra natural light, we also added a few windows and skylights. Skip took the space to the next level with some great storage solutions on the doors, a flatscreen TV, a mini fridge, and custom wall panels from Barron Design.  

Our She Shed shell is full of curb appeal, with plenty of transom windows, shutters, and a window box. To add extra style to the interior of the TR-700, Skip brought in another custom wall design from Barron Designs and some cozy furniture.
